Cinderella is about a beautiful, perfect-in-every way girl whose deadbeat father goes and dies on her, leaving her with her step-mother and two step-sisters who treat Cinderella as their own personal maid. With the help of Fairy Godmother, Cinderella goes to the ball in a fabulous pouffy dress. There, the Prince thinks she’s hot, but she has to be home at midnight so runs off leaving a shoe.
Set in a fantasy historical setting, the Disney telling is a product of the period in which the movie was made, and thus, her costumes are fantasy historical as well.
